Way back in 1986 the band 'Rocket to Russia' was born out of a desire to showcase 'RAMONES' songs to the pub circuit in Sydney. Surfacing in venues such as the 'Sutherland Royal Hotel', Mortdale Hotel 'St George Rock room' and even Northside at the 'Middle Harbour 16ft Skiff Sailing Club as well as other various venues. The band always played to good crowds and had some good times.

The band went into hiatus before resurfacing with different members in 2014 and 2020.

Deciding to re-appear for one show only in 2024, this incarnation of 'Rocket to Russia' include founding members Scott Egginton (The Key, Sinister Smiles, Mayday Dreamers) and Greg Hearnden (The Key, The Persuaders, Mayday Dreamers) with  2 new members for this show with John Var (Sinister Smiles, Oblivia, Sherbert) and Bryce Hearnden (Fait Accompli, Tupperware Party, Cubans in Whistler) joining for the ride.

The current set list covers tunes from most of The Ramones albums with everything from Blitzkrieg Bop through to Pet Sematary. So dig out those old blue jeans and leather jackets and join them for a journey through the time tunnel.
