Cronulla’s own Kim Girdlestone returns to the Monkey stage bringing her signature Daisy-Chain Blues. With her full band in tow, her soulful, heartfelt songs bloom into rich roots-rock grooves. Recently featured on 7NEWS as part of Sydney’s live music revival, the band seem to be making their mark on the scene. On stage she’ll be joined by long-time collaborator Gavin Moar (Cote Guitars), along with Alex Spango on drums and George Rigatos on bass. Together they deliver a live experience fuelled by raw energy and expressive playing. Shaped by years of live experience, Kim’s warmth and commanding presence is evident on stage, having shared line-ups with artists like Pacey, King & Doley, Matt Corby, and The Pleasures, and she was a finalist in the 2024 Sydney Blues Society Blues Challenge.
Kim has much more than a voice on her side she’s a true artist, a crafter of songs that hearken back to the classic traditions of blues and soul ~ Laura Katulka, Sounds of Oz
