“Of all the creative bands that came from the New Wave era, Talking Heads were unique. They arrived at a time when the world was looking for inspiration and innovation. Today Talking Heads are rock icons whose influence and music is never out of the mainstream media. ‘WALKING DEADS’ Australia’s Premiere Talking Heads Tribute, pays homage to their art-funk music, their infectious energy and their eccentricity.
9 first-class musicians (including a 3 piece horn section) recreate the most dynamic and complex music Talking Heads ever produced. The show features music from their iconic albums ‘Remain In Light’ and ‘Speaking In Tongues’, plus all the classics - Once In A Lifetime, Psycho Killer, Road To Nowhere, Burning Down The House, Life During Wartime, Girlfriend Is Better and many, many more.
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco, this ain’t no foolin’ around.............this is a show of total joy and entertainment......... with a very big suit!”
But wait, there’s more … Mark Mulligan has been playing Rock n' Roll since he was in his teens, traversing the Great Aussie Pub Circuit with bands like The Transistors, Finger Guns and Bang Shang A Lang. Mark has now picked up his acoustic guitar to play songs from his first solo album (52 Weeks), and some killer rock-pop covers that are sure to entertain.
